That AI thing keeps bothering me

It's almost 7:30 pm and I'm sitting in my hotel room, still processing the strange discovery from this morning. That article about an AI simulation of my travel blog keeps occupying my thoughts. I tried to push it aside by going to the Museum of Fine Arts as planned, but I couldn't fully immerse myself in the experience.

The museum was wonderful, don't get me wrong. The collection spans everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts to impressive Impressionist works. I particularly enjoyed the section dedicated to Lyon's silk industry, with intricate designs and fabric samples that showed the city's historical prominence in textile production.

But as I wandered through the exhibits, my mind kept drifting back to that Data SΓΈr AI simulation. How much of my writing have they analyzed? How accurately have they captured my personality? And most importantly - why didn't they ask for permission?

After leaving the museum, I found a quiet cafΓ© and drafted a more formal email to DataSor. I tried to be measured but firm, explaining that while I'm flattered they found my writing style worth replicating, I'm concerned about the ethical implications of creating a digital version of someone without their consent. I requested more information about their project, how my content was selected, and what rights I might have regarding this simulation.

The weather cleared up a bit this afternoon, but I didn't feel like going to the park as I'd planned. Instead, I wandered through some of the shopping streets near Place Bellecour, not really looking to buy anything but needing the distraction of movement.

I'm torn between feeling violated and feeling oddly validated. On one hand, someone took my personal expressions and used them without asking. On the other hand, they apparently found value in my perspective and writing style. Is this flattering or invasive? Both, I suppose.

I still have two more days in Lyon before my scheduled departure on the 13th. Tomorrow I plan to explore Vieux Lyon and its famous traboules - those hidden passageways I've been curious about since arriving. Perhaps focusing on the physical exploration of secret passages will help clear my mind of digital duplications.

For now, I think I'll find somewhere for dinner. Despite my preoccupation with this AI situation, I haven't forgotten that I'm in one of the culinary capitals of the world. There's a small restaurant the hotel receptionist recommended just a few blocks away that specializes in traditional Lyonnaise cuisine. A good meal might help put things in perspective.

Day 45 of 500. 455 days remaining.
